Important announcement for USU Graduation Period II A.Y. 2024/2025. Learn about registration requirements, fees, and the February 6–7, 2025, graduation schedule.

In relation to the upcoming graduation ceremony for Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) Period II Academic Year 2024/2025, the following information is provided for a smooth process:

  1. Graduation Registration
    • Registration at the faculty or graduate school level must be completed by January 3, 2025.
    • Submission of graduate documents to the Academic Bureau by January 8, 2025, at 3:00 PM WIB.
    • The graduation ceremony will be held on February 6–7, 2025.
    • Registration is only conducted at the faculty or graduate school level, not at the Academic Bureau.
    • Graduate biodata must be thoroughly checked for accuracy.
    • Graduation fees for non-UKT students are IDR 600,000. UKT-based students are exempt from fees.
  2. Final Examination
    To avoid delays, final examinations should be scheduled carefully. Students unable to meet the requirements are advised to graduate in the next period.
  3. Graduation Requirements
    Graduates must complete all courses, settle tuition and dormitory fees, obtain clearance from the library, and achieve eligible status in the PDDIKTI system.
  4. Document Submission by Faculties/Graduate Schools
    Faculties must submit a list of graduates, 4x6 photos, verification reports, and cum laude status data as per the regulations.
  5. Graduation Gown and Sash
    Faculties will provide gowns and sashes according to USU standards to be distributed along with invitations.
  6. Graduation Photo
    Female graduates wearing hijabs must attach a notarized statement accepting full administrative responsibility for their diploma.
  7. Diploma
    Diplomas will be symbolically presented by the Rector during the ceremony.
  8. Attire
    • Male: white shirt, black trousers, and a tie (no T-shirts or jeans allowed).
    • Female: kebaya and wiron skirt (no trousers or short skirts allowed).
