Description
Socialization of L'Oreal - UNESCO Program for Women in Science 2024 (FWIS) Indonesia
We are pleased to inform you that the Indonesian National Commission for UNESCO (KNIU), in collaboration with L'Oréal Indonesia, will hold a socialization of the L'Oréal-UNESCO For Women in Science (FWIS) program. The program is a national fellowship activity or research scholarship for four (4) young women researchers in life sciences and non-life sciences (material sciences, engineering, chemistry, physics, Mathematics and Natural Sciences, and other life and non-life sciences fields).
The FWIS program was first introduced in 1998 as a global partnership between L'Oréal and UNESCO to reward, recognize, and encourage women researchers worldwide. The science program socialization aims to promote research as a career for young women researchers and will also introduce the FWIS program to encourage them to participate in the program. The program is available to individuals who have studied or are currently studying for a doctoral degree and are at least 40 years old at the time of inauguration in November 2024. Later, each scholarship recipient will receive IDR 100,000,000. This program also aims to find candidates from Indonesia to be involved in the L'Oréal-UNESCO FWIS International Rising Talents Fellowship program.
Therefore, we ask that you attend the event and inform and assign representatives and students (for universities) who meet the criteria for scholarship recipients to participate in the program and the L'Oréal-UNESCO FWIS Socialization Kick-Off. In addition, we also invite lecturers and doctoral students in the same field to participate. The L'Oréal-UNESCO FWIS Socialization is conducted face-to-face and online (hybrid) on:
