Prof. Dr.rer.nat. Effendy De Lux Putra, SU, Apt is a Professor at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Sumatera Utara. He earned his Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from Universitas Sumatera Utara in 1982, obtaining the title Doktorandes. He continued his Master’s studies at Universitas Gadjah Mada and completed the program in 1988.

For his Doctoral degree, Prof. Effendy pursued his studies at Julius Maximilians Universität Würzburg, Germany, where he was awarded the degree Doktorin Der Naturwissenschaften (Dr.rer.nat.) in 1994. His extensive academic experience both domestically and internationally has made him a highly respected figure in the field of pharmacy and higher education in Indonesia.
