PUBLIC RELATIONS, FACULTY OF PHARMACY, USU – The Faculty of Pharmacy at Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) held the International Conference on Pharmaceutical and Clinical Research (ICPCR) 2023 virtually on Thursday and Friday, November 16–17, 2023. The event was chaired by the Vice Dean III of the Faculty of Pharmacy at USU, Marianne, S.Si., M.Si., Apt., with Vice Chair Yuandani, S.Farm., M.Si., Ph.D., Apt. During the opening of ICPCR 2023, the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Apt. Khairunnisa, S.Si., M.Pharm., Ph.D., delivered a speech encouraging all committee members and participants to ensure the success of this two-day event and to make it beneficial for everyone.

The event featured four keynote speakers: Prof. Dr. Apt. Poppy Anjelisa Z. Hasibuan, S.Si., M.Si., from the Faculty of Pharmacy at USU; Prof. Evamarie Hey-Hawkins from Leipzig University-Institute of Inorganic Chemistry; Dr. Adeel Masood Butt from the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Pakistan; and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Baharudin Bin Ibrahim from Universiti Malaya. These keynote speakers are distinguished professors who are experts in their respective fields and have conducted extensive research over the past several years.

Additionally, the ICPCR invited two speakers: Prof. Dr. Ritmaleni, M.Si., from the Faculty of Pharmacy at UGM, an expert in Medicinal and Pharmaceutical Chemistry; and Dwi Lestari P., S.Si., M.Si., Ph.D., from the Faculty of Pharmacy at USU, an expert in Pharmaceutical Technology. Both speakers are highly skilled in their fields and have published numerous Scopus-indexed international scientific articles.

Besides featuring expert speakers, the ICPCR 2023 program also included an Oral Presentation competition for students from Indonesia and abroad to present their scientific papers at this conference. At the end of the event, winners of the Oral Presentation competition were announced, and all winners received prizes from the conference.
