In preparation for the Odd Semester of the 2021/2022 Academic Year, the Master’s and Doctoral Programs in Pharmaceutical Sciences at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), held a campus orientation for new students.
The event took place online via Zoom Meeting on Friday, August 20, 2021, starting at 9:00 AM WIB. It was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy USU, Vice Deans I, II, and III, the Head and Secretary of the Master’s and Doctoral Programs in Pharmaceutical Sciences, and the new students.
The orientation began with a prayer, followed by opening remarks from Prof. Dr. Urip Harahap, Apt., Head of the Master’s and Doctoral Programs, and Khairunnisa, M.Pharm., Ph.D., Apt., Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy USU.
The orientation covered topics such as an introduction to faculty and program management, the vision, mission, and objectives of the program, the academic schedule, academic regulations, and online academic services. All materials were delivered directly by Prof. Dr. Urip Harahap, Apt.
This orientation aimed to familiarize new students with their campus and the systems in place during the ongoing pandemic. The event was concise, beginning in the morning and concluding by the afternoon.
The entire program ran smoothly, accompanied by enthusiastic participation from the new students.
