The Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), welcomed a collaboration visit on Wednesday, June 29, 2022, at 2:00 PM WIB in the meeting room on the second floor of the Faculty of Pharmacy. This visit was from Stikes Medika Nurul Islam Sigli, represented by six delegates. The event was officially opened by the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, USU.

The event was also attended by vice deans, program heads, program secretaries, and staff from the P2KM division. As an institution established in 2020, Stikes Medika Nurul Islam Sigli initiated this visit to enhance the quality of the higher education tridharma for better and more competent achievements. They expressed hope for a long-term partnership with the Faculty of Pharmacy, USU, considering its reputation for excellence and longstanding accreditation.

In addition to fostering collaboration, the visit aimed to gain insights into curriculum development, laboratory guidelines, and semester lesson planning. Stikes Medika Nurul Islam Sigli also hoped that the Faculty of Pharmacy, USU, could provide guidance and mentorship for their accreditation process. “Through this collaboration, the pharmacy program at Stikes MNI will direct its students to use the laboratories at the Faculty of Pharmacy, USU, due to limited facilities in our program. We also hope that Faculty of Pharmacy lecturers can teach at our institution,” said Ms. Lintang, Secretary of the Pharmacy Program at Stikes MNI Sigli.

Responding to this, the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, USU, clarified that their lecturers cannot teach permanently at Stikes MNI Sigli but may be available as guest lecturers or resource persons as needed.
