USU PHARMACY PUBLIC RELATIONS - The Faculty of Pharmacy of the Universitas Sumatera Utara emerged as the 2nd Honorable Champion in the category of community innovation in the North Sumatera Innovation Forum 2024. This event occurred at the North Sumatra Governor's Office Parking Lot, Medan, for 2 days, July 31, 2024 - August 1, 2024.
In the Community Innovation category, the USU Faculty of Pharmacy team consisting of Henny Sri Wahyuni, S.Farm., M.Si., Apt.; Bayu Eko Prasetyo, S.Farm., M.Sc., Apt.; and Clara Claudia Jap, S.Farm., managed to occupy the second honorable mention position through the innovation "ABBE (Aromatic Botanical Balm Essence)."
ABBE is an innovative aromatherapy balm product combining ginger and citronella. ABBE is formulated with natural, gentle additives on the skin, making it safe to use daily without causing irritation. ABBE provides comprehensive skin care with moisturizing patchouli, almonds, sunflower oils, and beeswax to protect against dryness. It is free from harmful chemicals, parabens, and perfumes and has been registered by the BPOM. The presence of ABBE products is inseparable from the role of the USU Innovation Research Development Agency (BPRI) as a body that facilitates the team in developing this innovative product.
Acting Governor of North Sumatra, Dr. Drs. A. Fatoni, M.Si., who attended and opened the North Sumatra Innovation Forum 2024 event, expressed his appreciation to the participants who had participated in this innovation event.
The North Sumatra Innovation Forum 2024 is an annual event that aims to encourage creativity and innovation in various sectors. It is also a forum for innovators to increase collaboration in achieving innovative breakthroughs that benefit the community.
