Medan, October 1, 2026 – The Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Sumatera Utara, held a SINTA (Science and Technology Index) Data Synchronization Socialization Roadshow in the Meeting Room of the Faculty of Pharmacy USU, Thursday (1/10/2026). This activity aims to enhance the understanding and accuracy of the academic community in managing and synchronizing research and scientific publication data to support the improvement of the faculty's academic performance.

This activity was attended by the Dean, Vice Deans, and lecturers within the Faculty of Pharmacy USU. Through this socialization, participants gained an understanding of the importance of precise and sustainable SINTA data management and synchronization, ensuring that information regarding research track records, scientific publications, and academic productivity can be better documented. SINTA is an information system that supports the collection and monitoring of research performance and scientific publications in Indonesia. Therefore, accurate data synchronization becomes a crucial aspect in ensuring the alignment of academic information and supporting the evaluation of lecturers' research and publication achievements.

The implementation of this roadshow serves as one of the strategic steps by the Faculty of Pharmacy USU to strengthen the governance of academic and research data. Optimizing SINTA data management is expected to assist in improving the quality of lecturer performance documentation, support the mapping of research productivity, and encourage the development of competitive innovations and scientific publications. Furthermore, the involvement of the academic community in this activity reflects a shared commitment to building an academic culture that is data-driven, transparent, and oriented toward quality improvement. The synergy of all faculty elements is required so that research data management can run consistently and provide benefits for institutional development. This SINTA Data Synchronization Socialization Roadshow activity aligns with several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) targets. First, SDG 4: Quality Education, through strengthening academic governance and enhancing the quality of information management that supports high-quality higher education.

Second, SDG 9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure, through optimizing the use of information systems to support research productivity, scientific publications, and the development of science- and technology-based innovation.

Third, SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, through strengthening coordination and collaboration between leadership elements and lecturers in supporting academic data management and achieving institutional performance targets. Through this activity, the Faculty of Pharmacy USU hopes that SINTA data management and synchronization will become increasingly optimal, thereby contributing to the improvement of research quality, scientific publication productivity, and the academic competitiveness of Universitas Sumatera Utara at both national and international levels.
