Medan, Monday, August 3, 2026 – The Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), held its regular morning assembly on Monday (3/8/2026), attended by all education staff and members of the academic community within the Faculty of Pharmacy USU. The assembly was led by the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy USU, Prof. apt. Khairunnisa, S.Si., M.Pharm., Ph.D. In her address, the Dean highlighted four key points as areas of focus for the entire academic community in preparing for various strategic faculty agendas.
The first point emphasized the importance of preparing facilities and infrastructure ahead of the Odd Semester of the 2026/2027 Academic Year. All units are expected to ensure that lecture rooms, laboratories, and other supporting facilities are in optimal condition so that the learning process can run effectively.
The second point concerned the readiness of lecture schedules. The Dean reminded all study programs and relevant units to ensure that lecture schedules are finalized on time so that academic activities can be conducted in an orderly manner and in accordance with the established academic calendar.
The third point focused on the importance of readiness in preparation for the accreditation of the Undergraduate Pharmacy Study Program, Pharmacist Professional Study Program, and Doctoral Program in Pharmaceutical Sciences. All lecturers and education staff are expected to collaborate, complete the required documentation, and provide maximum support to achieve the best possible accreditation results.
As the final point, the Dean emphasized the importance of employee discipline, particularly attendance at the morning assembly. Discipline reflects the commitment and responsibility of employees as part of the Faculty of Pharmacy USU and is an essential component of the work culture that must be maintained and continuously improved.
The regular Monday morning assembly is also intended to foster enthusiasm and strengthen a sense of nationalism among the academic community in both their personal and professional lives. Through this activity, all members of the Faculty of Pharmacy USU are expected to further strengthen their commitment, collaboration, and dedication to providing the best services in education, research, and community service, while successfully implementing the faculty's strategic agenda.
The Morning Assembly of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Sumatera Utara, aligns with efforts to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly:
SDG 4 – Quality Education: The preparation of facilities and infrastructure, development of lecture schedules, and readiness for accreditation of the Undergraduate Pharmacy Study Program and Pharmacist Professional Study Program are measures to ensure the delivery of high-quality, inclusive, and sustainable higher education.
SDG 8 – Decent Work and Economic Growth: The emphasis on employee discipline, including attendance at the morning assembly, reflects a commitment to building a professional, productive, and responsible work culture within the Faculty of Pharmacy USU.
SDG 16 – Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions: Strengthening organizational governance through coordination, improved discipline, and accreditation preparedness supports the development of an effective, accountable, and integrity-driven higher education institution.
