HUMAS FARMASI USU – Another proud achievement has been made by a student of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU). Meiviona Zuhrina won a Gold Medal at the 2026 PB FORKI Chairman’s Cup IV National Karate Championship (Kejurnas Karate Piala Ketum PB FORKI IV 2026), held in Bandung from May 9–12, 2026.

HUMAS FARMASI USUAnother proud achievement has been made by a student of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU). Meiviona Zuhrina won a Gold Medal at the 2026 PB FORKI Chairman’s Cup IV National Karate Championship (Kejurnas Karate Piala Ketum PB FORKI IV 2026), held in Bandung from May 9–12, 2026.

This achievement is a source of pride not only for Meiviona Zuhrina but also for the Faculty of Pharmacy USU. The national-level competition, which brought together karate athletes from various regions across Indonesia, served as a platform for participants to demonstrate their skills, sportsmanship, and resilience in the sport of karate.

The Gold Medal earned by Meiviona Zuhrina is the result of hard work, discipline, perseverance, and dedication developed through consistent training. This accomplishment demonstrates that students of the Faculty of Pharmacy USU are not only capable of excelling academically but are also able to develop their potential in non-academic fields and achieve success at the national level.

The Faculty of Pharmacy USU continuously supports the development of students’ interests and talents through various activities aimed at enhancing competence, character, and competitiveness. This success serves as evidence that a balance between academic and non-academic achievements can be achieved through strong commitment and a continuous desire for self-improvement.

The achievement attained by Meiviona Zuhrina is expected to inspire other students to continue striving for excellence in various fields, including academics, sports, arts, and other student activities. In addition to bringing honor to herself, this accomplishment also contributes to enhancing the reputation of the Faculty of Pharmacy USU at the national level.

Student achievements in sports also contribute to the attainment of several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including:

The achievement of a female student highlights the importance of providing equal opportunities for all individuals to grow and excel in various fields, including sports.

Karate instills values of sportsmanship, discipline, integrity, and respect, which contribute to the development of responsible and ethical young individuals.

Through this achievement, the Faculty of Pharmacy USU hopes that more students will be encouraged to develop their potential, achieve excellence in various fields, and continue bringing honor to the institution at both national and international levels.
