Medan, August 12, 2026 — Five lecturers from the Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) achieved notable recognition at the 2026 Annual Scientific Meeting (PIT) of the Indonesian Pharmacists Association (IAI), held from August 6–8, 2026, at Hotel Santika Premiere Dyandra Hotel & Convention, Medan.

At the national scientific forum, five lecturers from the Faculty of Pharmacy USU received awards as favorite presenters in the poster and oral presentation categories. This achievement demonstrates the commitment of the Faculty of Pharmacy USU lecturers to producing high-quality research and contributing to the advancement of pharmaceutical science and practice in Indonesia.

The 2026 PIT IAI is a scientific forum that brings together pharmacists, academics, researchers, students, and practitioners from various regions across Indonesia. This year's event carried the theme “One Health, One Pharmacy: Synergy for National Resilience,” emphasizing the importance of cross-sectoral synergy in strengthening the role of pharmacy in supporting national health resilience.
The success of the five Faculty of Pharmacy USU lecturers in receiving awards in the favorite poster and oral presentation categories demonstrates the quality and relevance of the research produced. The achievement also strengthens the position of the Faculty of Pharmacy USU as an educational and research institution that actively contributes to the advancement of pharmaceutical science at the national level.
