USU PHARMACY PUBLIC RELATIONS – With a spirit of renewal and firm determination, the Student Executive Board (BEM) of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), officially inaugurated the Dharsawicaksana Cabinet as the board for the 2025/2026 term on Monday, June 23, 2025, held at the 2nd Floor Auditorium of the Faculty of Pharmacy.
This inauguration was a solemn moment marked by the reading and taking of the oath of office before the Holy Qur’an, symbolizing the moral and spiritual commitment of all board members. The oath served as a reminder of the great responsibility to carry out their duties with fairness, trustworthiness, and full dedication.
The name "Dharsawicaksana" is not merely a cabinet title—it embodies a profound philosophy that reflects the direction and leadership spirit being promoted:
Dhar(s)a (from Dharma or Dharsa): signifies upholding, standing by life principles, noble duty, and truth.
Wicaksana (or Vichaksana): means wise, intelligent, and full of consideration.
Thus, Dharsawicaksana contains two core values:
Truth, noble duty, life principles, and strong moral integrity, and
Wisdom, intelligence, and thoughtful deliberation.
These values form the ethical foundation for the board members to carry out the organization’s mission with integrity, impact, and alignment to noble principles. This inauguration is expected to mark the beginning of a term marked by strong integrity and positive change for the academic community of the Faculty of Pharmacy USU.
