PUBLIC RELATIONS, FACULTY OF PHARMACY, USU – The Faculty of Pharmacy at Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) held a morning assembly on Monday, September 11, 2023. The event was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy at USU, Apt. Khairunnisa, S.Si., M.Pharm., Ph.D., along with vice deans, lecturers, administrative staff, and student representatives from undergraduate, master’s, doctoral, and professional programs. The morning assembly is routinely conducted every Monday by the academic community of the Faculty of Pharmacy. However, this week featured an additional agenda: the launch of the 17th Anniversary logo, scheduled to take place in October and November 2023.
The launch of the 17th Anniversary Logo aims to commemorate 17 years since the establishment of the Faculty of Pharmacy, which was previously under the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences. The theme for this year’s anniversary celebration is “Pharmacy Collaboration Towards Global Ultimate,” emphasizing the continuous development of collaboration within the Faculty of Pharmacy to achieve global excellence. This aligns with several accomplishments of the Faculty in academics and collaborations at both national and international levels. Additionally, collaboration and support from alumni significantly contribute to advancing the Faculty's reputation locally and globally.
Planned activities for the 17th Anniversary celebration include a scientific oration featuring prominent speakers in the pharmaceutical field and a Pharmacy Fest, which will include performances by local bands, a fun walk, a bazaar, competitions, a blood donation drive, and other exciting activities. This annual event will invite the entire academic community of the Faculty of Pharmacy at USU, students from undergraduate, master’s, doctoral, and professional programs, as well as alumni. The organizing committee, consisting of lecturers, students, and several alumni, hopes the event will run smoothly and successfully with support from all related parties.
