USU PHARMACY PR – The Faculty of Pharmacy at Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) held the oath-taking ceremony for the 37th cohort of pharmacist graduates on Saturday, April 19, 2025, at the Auditorium of the Faculty of Pharmacy USU.

The ceremony was attended by graduates of the Pharmacist Professional Program who had completed their professional education and were ready to take on roles as competent and ethical healthcare professionals. The oath-taking was led by a representative of the Indonesian Pharmacists Association (IAI) and attended by faculty leadership, lecturers, and the graduates' families.
The pharmacist oath-taking ceremony marks the final step before graduates of the professional program can officially begin practicing pharmacy. This event involved graduates of the 37th cohort, the leadership of the Faculty of Pharmacy USU, representatives from IAI, as well as families and invited guests. The ceremony was held on Saturday, April 19, 2025, at the Faculty of Pharmacy USU Auditorium in Medan.
This oath represents an ethical and professional commitment to perform the duties of a pharmacist with integrity and responsibility, as a tangible contribution to improving the quality of public healthcare services. The event was conducted solemnly and orderly, beginning with a welcoming speech from the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, followed by the oath-taking, pinning ceremony, and awards presentation to outstanding graduates.
Through this event, the Faculty of Pharmacy USU plays an active role in supporting the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly in Good Health and Well-being, by preparing pharmaceutical professionals who contribute to improved healthcare services, and Quality Education, by ensuring high-quality professional education and producing graduates ready to contribute professionally.

It is hoped that this oath-taking ceremony will empower newly graduated pharmacists to become the front-liners in addressing healthcare challenges while upholding public trust in the pharmacy profession.
