USU PHARMACY PR - Every September 25 is celebrated as “World Pharmacist Day / WPD”. FIP (International Pharmacy Federation) as the parent organization of world pharmacists in WPD 2022 raises the theme and issue of “Pharmacy United in Action for a Healthier World”.
The theme raised can show the role of pharmacists united in an action to realize the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG's), namely Good Health and Well-being.
One of the activity agendas carried out as a form of implementation of the role of pharmacists is community service. This community service activity was carried out in Taman Cadika, Johor. The series of activities carried out in the form of providing Communication, Information and Education (IEC) to the community regarding TB and Diabetes. Counseling / counseling about TB and Diabetes includes the characteristics, causes, prevention, and treatment of these two diseases. IEC was carried out by students of the Pharmacist Professional Education Study Program class 34 of the USU Faculty of Pharmacy to the surrounding Johor residents and the people visiting Cadika Park.
Hopefully with this little explanation by PSPA students, it can provide education that is easily remembered by the community around Taman Cadika, Johor.
