USU PHARMACY PUBLIC RELATIONS - The Faculty of Pharmacy of the Universitas Sumatera Utara released their Outbound students to Kyung Hee University (KHU) Seoul, South Korea on Wednesday, (24/4/24). This is part of the USU Student Mobility Equity Program in the form of international collaborative research.

This program is one of the activities of the Ministry of Education and Culture, Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM), where students are given the freedom to choose to study in different places online or offline.

 

The outbound student consists of 2 people, namely Helen and Princella Halim. Both are students of the USU Faculty of Pharmacy in the Undergraduate Program in Pharmacy class of 2021 (6th semester students).

The activities of the two outbound students are conducting research related to cancer cells. It is known that both of them were listed as “Research Interns at the Department of Developmental Cancer Prevention Materials; Korean Medicine-Based Medicine Repositioning Cancer Research Center, Kyung Hee University” on April 25 - July 25, 2024, under the supervision of Prof. Bonglee Kim, M.D., Ph.D..

 

It is hoped that the Outbound students of the Faculty of Pharmacy of the Universitas Sumatera Utara will be given smoothness in the process of departure, research, until they return and gain valuable experience from this program.

The faculty leaders also hope that during the international collaborative research they will be able to adapt well, and gain many valuable experiences for self-development, both hard skills and soft skills. Because in this activity, students can exchange capacity, creativity, and get to know local cultural values. All of that will certainly be a very valuable learning.
