The Outstanding Student (MAWAPRES) selection at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Sumatera Utara, for 2017 was successfully held on Tuesday, March 21, 2017, in the Meeting Room on the 2nd floor of the Faculty of Pharmacy building. The event was officially opened by the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy USU, Prof. Dr. Masfria, M.S., Apt., and attended by Vice Dean I Dr. Poppy Anjelisa Hasibuan, S.Si., M.Si., Apt., Expert Staff of Vice Dean I Dr. Yuandani, M.Si., Apt., and Head of Student Affairs Rafiul KBS, SH. The primary goal of this event was to select outstanding students who will represent the faculty at the university-level MAWAPRES competition.
Sixteen students participated in the selection process, which began with a preliminary round on March 16, 2017. The evaluation consisted of two stages: document review and the presentation of scientific papers, followed by interviews. The MAWAPRES program aims to recognize students excelling in curricular, co-curricular, and extracurricular activities, while also motivating them to integrate their hard and soft skills effectively. Through this program, students are expected to continually enhance their abilities, contributing positively to Universitas Sumatera Utara.
