Medan, August 4, 2026 – The Undergraduate Program in Pharmacy, Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), held a Course Coordination Meeting in the Faculty of Pharmacy USU Meeting Room. The meeting was attended by Faculty leaders, the Head and Secretary of the Undergraduate Program in Pharmacy, and course lecturers as part of a shared commitment to improving the quality of education and ensuring an integrated and high-quality learning process.
The coordination meeting was held to align curriculum implementation, evaluate learning outcomes, and strengthen coordination among lecturers in developing effective learning strategies. Various topics were discussed during the meeting, including a review of the Semester Learning Plans (RPS), learning methods, assessment systems, and the integration of graduate learning outcomes in accordance with developments in pharmaceutical sciences and the needs of the workforce.
Through constructive discussions, lecturers shared various input and recommendations to improve the quality of the learning process. The agreements reached during the meeting are expected to provide students with a better learning experience while strengthening a collaborative academic culture within the Undergraduate Program in Pharmacy.
The Head of the Undergraduate Program in Pharmacy stated, “This coordination meeting is an important momentum to ensure that all courses are aligned with graduate learning outcomes. Through effective coordination among course lecturers, we hope that the quality of learning at the Faculty of Pharmacy USU will continue to improve, enabling us to produce graduates who are competent, professional, and prepared to face the challenges of the workforce.”
The coordination meeting also reflects Universitas Sumatera Utara’s commitment to supporting the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The activity contributes to SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being and SDG 4: Quality Education through strengthened learning governance, curriculum quality improvement, and the provision of high-quality higher education that is relevant to community needs. In addition, the meeting supports SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals by strengthening collaboration and coordination among lecturers and study program leaders in establishing a sustainable education system.
With the successful implementation of this coordination meeting, the Undergraduate Program in Pharmacy, Faculty of Pharmacy USU, hopes that all courses can be delivered in a more structured manner, aligned with graduate learning outcomes, and capable of producing graduates who are competent, professional, ethical, and ready to contribute to improving public health.
