The Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the University of Cyberjaya (UoC), Malaysia, on September 24, 2025. This collaboration marks a strategic step to strengthen international partnerships in education, research, and community service, aligning with USU’s vision to become a globally competitive institution.
USU Faculty of Pharmacy Public Relations – The Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the University of Cyberjaya (UoC), Malaysia. This signing marks a strategic step to strengthen international networks in education, research, and community service.
The MoU between the Faculty of Pharmacy, USU, and the University of Cyberjaya (UoC), Malaysia, represents a sustainable form of academic and international research collaboration. The event involved leaders from both institutions, who are committed to enhancing cross-country synergy in the development of pharmaceutical sciences and community service activities.
The MoU signing took place on September 24, 2025, at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Sumatera Utara, Medan, and was attended by academic representatives from both universities.
This collaboration aims to strengthen academic networks and expand international partnership opportunities in education, research, and community service. Moreover, the MoU serves as a concrete step in supporting USU’s internationalization vision and reinforcing the Faculty of Pharmacy’s position as a globally competitive institution.
Through this MoU, both institutions agreed to collaborate through faculty and student exchanges, joint research projects, international seminars or conferences, and cross-border community engagement activities. The implementation of this collaboration is expected to bring tangible benefits to the advancement of scientific knowledge and the improvement of human resource quality in the field of pharmacy.
The collaboration between the USU Faculty of Pharmacy and the University of Cyberjaya aligns with the following:
SDG 4 – Quality Education: enhancing higher education quality through international academic knowledge exchange.
SDG 9 – Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure: promoting pharmaceutical research innovation and healthcare technology development.
SDG 17 – Partnerships for the Goals: strengthening global partnerships for sustainable development through cross-country collaboration.
Through this partnership, the USU Faculty of Pharmacy reaffirms its commitment to expanding international collaboration networks and creating a positive impact on society through sustainable advancements in education, research, and innovation in the field of pharmacy.
