The USU Faculty of Pharmacy officially established a collaboration with the UPI Faculty of Medicine through the signing of a MoA on August 11, 2025. This collaboration aims to strengthen academic networks, research, and community service in the fields of pharmacy and medicine.

USU Faculty of Pharmacy Public Relations – The USU Faculty of Pharmacy officially established a collaboration with the UPI Faculty of Medicine through the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) on Monday, August 11, 2025. The event took place at the second-floor meeting room of the USU Faculty of Pharmacy in Medan, in a solemn atmosphere filled with collaborative spirit.

 

 

The collaboration was signed directly by the leadership of both faculties, witnessed by faculty members and academic staff. The MoA signing marks an important step in strengthening academic, research, and community service networks between the USU Faculty of Pharmacy and the UPI Faculty of Medicine.

 

 

The event took place on August 11, 2025, in the second-floor meeting room of the USU Faculty of Pharmacy. This location witnessed the commitment of both institutions to synergize in the development of health sciences, particularly in pharmacy and medicine.

 

 

The Dean of the USU Faculty of Pharmacy emphasized that this collaboration is expected to serve as a platform for interdisciplinary research collaboration, the enhancement of learning quality, and more structured community service programs. Meanwhile, the UPI Faculty of Medicine stressed the importance of integrating pharmacy and medical sciences to address global health challenges, including drug research, health technology development, and public health services.

 

 

This collaboration aligns with several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):

  • SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being): improving health and well-being through collaborative research and education.

  • SDG 4 (Quality Education): enhancing the quality of higher education through academic exchange and curriculum development.

  • SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure): promoting research and innovation in health and pharmacy.

  • SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals): strengthening partnerships between educational institutions to achieve common goals.

Through the signing of this MoA, both faculties are committed to continuously expanding sustainable and mutually beneficial collaboration. This partnership is expected to produce innovations, leading research, and tangible contributions in the fields of health and education, positively impacting local, national, and international communities.
