The Faculty of Pharmacy at Universitas Sumatera Utara held a National Webinar titled “Microneedle Delivery Systems” on June 11, 2025. The event highlighted innovative, minimally invasive drug delivery technologies that are rapidly developing in modern pharmacy.
USU PHARMACY PUBLIC RELATIONS — The Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), organized a National Webinar themed “Microneedle Delivery Systems” on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, via Zoom Meeting. The event was held from 09.00 to 11.30 WIB and was attended by lecturers, students, researchers, and pharmaceutical practitioners from various institutions across Indonesia.
The webinar aimed to broaden participants' understanding of the innovative microneedle-based drug delivery system technology, which is currently one of the key areas of development in modern pharmacy. This technology offers a minimally invasive approach to drug administration, with the potential to enhance therapeutic effectiveness and improve patient comfort.
Expert speakers from academia and industry were invited to discuss scientific aspects, the latest research, and potential clinical applications of microneedle delivery systems. During the discussion session, participants actively posed questions and engaged in dialogue regarding the challenges and research opportunities in this field.
This activity aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically:

SDG 4: Quality Education, by providing access to up-to-date knowledge and education for academics and the wider community.
