Medan, September 9, 2026 – The Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), has once again achieved an academic accomplishment at the international level. Dr. apt. Marianne, S.Si., M.Si. has been awarded a COMSTECH Research Fellowship to conduct research at the International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences (ICCBS), University of Karachi, Pakistan.
The awarding of this fellowship is a proud achievement for the Faculty of Pharmacy, USU, while also demonstrating the commitment of the academic community to advancing research and expanding academic collaboration networks at the global level.
Through this opportunity, Dr. apt. Marianne will gain research experience in an international academic environment. This activity is expected to broaden her scientific knowledge, enhance her research competencies, and create opportunities for collaboration with researchers and educational and research institutions abroad.
The Faculty of Pharmacy, USU expresses its appreciation and congratulations on this achievement. The participation of lecturers in international fellowship programs is expected not only to contribute to individual capacity development but also to have a positive impact on strengthening the research culture and advancing knowledge within the Faculty of Pharmacy, USU.
This achievement also forms part of the Faculty of Pharmacy, USU’s efforts to promote the internationalization of higher education, improve research quality, and build sustainable academic networks.
The achievement of Dr. apt. Marianne through the COMSTECH Research Fellowship is aligned with several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly:
