USU PHARMACY PUBLIC RELATIONS – Introduction to Campus Life for New Students (PKKMB) is an activity created specifically for new students with the aim that students get to know more about the campus where they will study later. The main purpose of PKKMB is to introduce the campus to students, as well as to introduce university and faculty leaders, and introduce the campus atmosphere and surrounding environment.
PKKMB at the Universitas Sumatera Utara was held for 3 (three) days from Tuesday to Thursday, (13-15, 08). On the first day, PKKMB activities were opened for all new USU students at the Mini Stadium of the Universitas Sumatera Utara, which was then followed by mobilization to their respective faculties. The Faculty of Pharmacy this time raised the theme “Optimation: Optimistic and Intellectual Pharmacist Generation in Healthcare Innovation”.
This PKKMB activity is not merely to introduce the campus environment, but is also filled with various material briefings, both on academic and non-academic matters. These materials were presented by lecturers at the USU Faculty of Pharmacy. The materials are quite varied, including national insight, core values of the digital era, the higher education system in Indonesia, intellectual character and anti-violence, environmental awareness and a healthy campus, universities in the era of the industrial revolution, and USU-related material.
New students participated in PKKMB activities at the Faculty of Pharmacy with great enthusiasm. Starting from the first day to the third day, the sound of the new students singing Indonesia Raya, USU Mars, and USU Pharmacy Mars was extraordinary and full of enthusiasm. This provides positive energy for all academics involved in it.
In addition to presenting various serious materials, the new student admission activities are also filled with various other activities, such as on the second day, there is a laboratory tour to all laboratories in the USU Faculty of Pharmacy, where students are accompanied by their seniors in groups to visit all laboratories in rotation. The laboratories have also prepared a brief introduction to their respective laboratories. In addition to the laboratory tour, there were also socialization activities, both organizations and additional competitions on the third day.
PKKMB activities on the third day were quite varied, where the freshmen did morning aerobics, then continued by receiving socialization, and competitions for the Kation and Anion elections and the Pharmacy Got Talent event. Not to forget, games to relax the freshmen before undergoing lectures the following week. The enthusiasm of the Pharmacy freshmen was very visible, how excited they were to follow the Pharmacy Got Talent that was held, by pouring all their creativity in displaying their talents in the event. The excitement increased with the election of Kation and Anion 2024.
Congratulations on joining the Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Sumatera Utara. Cheer up for entering the active lecture period, hopefully the new students can adapt quickly to the USU Faculty of Pharmacy.
