The Rector of Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), Prof. Dr. Runtung, S.H., M.Hum., inaugurated 31 structural officials at levels II, III, and IV within Universitas Sumatera Utara on Thursday, July 12, 2018. The inauguration ceremony was held at the Dharma Wanita Room, 4th floor, Administration Building, USU.
The structural officials appointed include 1 Bureau Head, 7 Division Heads, and 23 Subdivision Heads, consisting of 14 men and 17 women. This inauguration aims to establish a more excellent academic service structure at Universitas Sumatera Utara.
In his speech, the Rector stated that the inauguration was carried out to address vacant positions and to rejuvenate the organization to support institutional performance. This decision also took into account the retirement and passing of several officials, necessitating immediate appointments to maintain organizational balance.
The Rector further noted that this inauguration is part of efforts to support the career progression of the appointed officials and enhance institutional capacity, ultimately aiming to improve academic service performance at Universitas Sumatera Utara.
The Rector also advised all officials and staff to maintain harmony in the workplace by fostering a healthy, conducive, and dynamic work environment to advance Universitas Sumatera Utara in line with the aspirations of the entire academic community.
Concluding his speech, the Rector expressed sincere gratitude to the former officials or those who have completed their terms for their dedication and service to Universitas Sumatera Utara.
