The Master's and Doctoral Program in Pharmaceutical Science, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), successfully held its Second International Webinar 2025 on September 29, 2025, online. The event featured Dr. Waqas Ahmad from Universiti Sains Malaysia, discussing “Targeting Tumor-Associated Macrophage Plasticity in Immunotherapy.”
USU Pharmacy PR – The Master and Doctoral Program in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), successfully held its Second International Webinar 2025 on Monday, September 29, 2025. The event was conducted online via Zoom Meeting from 10:00 to 12:00 WIB and featured an international expert from Universiti Sains Malaysia.
The webinar presented Dr. Waqas Ahmad from Universiti Sains Malaysia as the keynote speaker. The event was attended by students, lecturers, researchers, and academics from various institutions with interests in pharmaceutical sciences and cancer immunotherapy.
The topic discussed in this webinar was “Targeting Tumor-Associated Macrophage Plasticity in Immunotherapy.” Dr. Waqas Ahmad explained how tumor-associated macrophages can be utilized through a plasticity-based approach to enhance the success of immunotherapy in cancer treatment.
The event was held on Monday, September 29, 2025, from 10:00 to 12:00 WIB. Conducted online via Zoom Meeting, it enabled participation from both domestic and international audiences.
The objective of this event was to broaden the insights of Indonesian academics and researchers regarding the latest developments in cancer immunotherapy while expanding international networks in pharmaceutical and health sciences.
