Details of the 2025 Hitachi Global Foundation Asia Innovation Award, recognizing scientific and technological R&D innovations with prizes up to ¥3 million.
In relation to the opening of The Hitachi Global Foundation Asia Innovation Award, which aims to promote innovation in science, technology, and sustainable development in the ASEAN region, we hereby share the following information to be distributed to faculty members in each department.
This program is designed to recognize individuals or groups with outstanding achievements in research and development (R&D) in the fields of science and technology, including a vision for an ideal future society and a plan for the social implementation of their R&D outcomes, in support of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Registration Period: April 29, 2025 – May 19, 2025
Participant Criteria: Lecturers, researchers, or students from designated universities or research institutions with outstanding achievements in R&D
Award Categories:
Best Innovation Award: ¥3,000,000
Outstanding Innovation Award: ¥1,000,000
Encouragement Innovation Award: Approximately ¥500,000
