We would like to inform you about the schedule for the Mid-Semester Exam (UTS) of the Even Semester 2024/2025 for the Undergraduate Program in Pharmacy at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Sumatera Utara, which will take place from April 8, 2025, to April 22, 2025.

Regarding this, please note the following important information:

  • The UTS will be conducted offline.

  • The exam will be held in the Computer-Based Test (CBT) Room, 3rd Floor, Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Sumatera Utara.

  • Exam questions will be distributed through the “kelas.usu.ac.id” platform.

  • Questions in “kelas.usu.ac.id” will be randomized.

  • The exam is a closed-book test.

To ensure a smooth UTS process, students, lecturers, and academic staff are expected to adhere to the following regulations:

1. Students

a. Ensure they are registered on “kelas.usu.ac.id”.
b. Mark their attendance via “kelas.usu.ac.id”.
c. Be actively enrolled in the current semester (having paid tuition fees and completed course registration).
d. Are not allowed to bring any electronic devices except a calculator into the exam room.
e. Must note down their Google account username and password as well as their “kelas.usu.ac.id” credentials and bring them to every exam session.
f. Prepare backup mobile data in case of server downtime at the faculty.

2. Lecturers

a. Must be present in the exam room (CBT Room) according to the scheduled exam time.
b. Fill out the provided UTS Report.
c. The question setter (course teaching team) must submit the questions to the Course Coordinator, who will compile and upload them to “kelas.usu.ac.id”.
d. The maximum number of multiple-choice questions is 45, and the maximum number of essay questions is 5.
e. Answers must not contain images or complex formulas, as students are not allowed to bring electronic devices other than a calculator.
f. Exam questions must be uploaded to “kelas.usu.ac.id” at least three days before the exam date.
g. As a precaution against technical issues with “kelas.usu.ac.id,” lecturers are required to prepare backup questions in Google Form (GF) or Google Classroom (GCR) format, which must be submitted to the Academic Subdivision one day before the exam.
h. Lecturers are advised to set a password for the exam link uploaded to “kelas.usu.ac.id”.

3. Academic Staff

a. The exam supervisors are permanent non-civil servant staff at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Sumatera Utara.
b. Supervisors must be present in the exam room at least 15 minutes before the exam begins.
c. Fill out the UTS Report and distribute the student attendance list.
d. Ensure students receive and return scratch paper at the end of the exam.

4. Sanctions for Students Committing Fraud

Students caught cheating will be given a warning, and their name and student ID number will be recorded in the Exam Implementation Report (BAP), which will be submitted to the course lecturer.
