Medan, August 4, 2026 — The Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), attended the opening of the 2026 Annual Scientific Meeting of the Indonesian Pharmacists Association (PIT IAI). The event served as a forum for academics, practitioners, researchers, and pharmaceutical professionals to exchange knowledge, broaden their perspectives, and strengthen collaboration in addressing developments and challenges in the healthcare sector.
The Faculty of Pharmacy USU’s participation in PIT IAI 2026 is aligned with USU’s commitment to supporting SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being through strengthening the competencies of pharmaceutical professionals, advancing pharmaceutical research, and improving the quality of healthcare services.

The event also supports SDG 4: Quality Education through continuous professional learning and competency development. The exchange of scientific knowledge plays an important role in ensuring that pharmaceutical professionals can keep pace with developments in science and technology.
In addition, PIT IAI 2026 contributes to SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals by strengthening collaboration among higher education institutions, professional organizations, researchers, practitioners, government, and other stakeholders in promoting innovation and sustainable solutions in healthcare.
Through participation in this scientific forum, the Faculty of Pharmacy USU continues to expand its academic and professional networks, promote pharmaceutical research, and strengthen its contribution to improving public health and advancing sustainable development.
