IPBKST), Universitas Sumatera Utara, organized a Regulatory Literacy Improvement activity. The activity was held on September 10, 2026, at the 2nd Floor Hall of the Faculty of Pharmacy USU.

This activity was part of an effort to improve the academic community's understanding of regulations in the fields of natural medicines, quasi-drugs, health supplements, and cosmetics. Through this activity, participants gained insights into the importance of understanding regulations in supporting the development of safe, quality health products that comply with applicable requirements.
The activity featured speakers from BPOM, with a series of agendas consisting of presentations, discussions, and question-and-answer sessions. Interaction between participants and speakers provided a space to discuss various regulatory aspects while strengthening awareness of the importance of regulatory compliance in research, development, and product innovation activities.

Improving regulatory literacy is also expected to strengthen synergy among higher education institutions, regulators, and researchers. This collaboration is important in creating an academic and innovation ecosystem capable of producing science-based products that are not only innovative but also meet safety, quality, and competitiveness aspects.
For the Faculty of Pharmacy USU, this activity also supports the strengthening of competencies among students, lecturers, and the academic community in understanding regulatory developments in the pharmaceutical field.
