The Faculty of Pharmacy at Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) organized a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) on Adapting the Tri Dharma Responsibilities on Wednesday (February 23, 2022), at the 2nd-floor auditorium of the Faculty of Pharmacy. The event aimed to discuss strategies for developing and implementing the Tri Dharma of Higher Education—education, research, and community service—in addressing modern challenges. The discussion was officially opened by the Rector of Universitas Sumatera Utara, Dr. Muryanto Amin, S.Sos., M.Si., accompanied by the Vice Rector for Academic, Student Affairs, and Alumni, Dr. Edy Ikhsan, SH., MA., and the Vice Rector for Research, Community Service, and Collaboration, Prof. Dr. apt. Poppy Anjelisa Zaitun Hasibuan, S.Si., M.Si.

The event also featured the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, vice deans, and faculty members who actively contributed to the discussion. This FGD served as a collaborative platform to explore new methods and approaches for implementing the Tri Dharma within the university environment. The outcomes of the discussion are expected to enhance the effectiveness of the Faculty of Pharmacy's contributions to education, research, and community service, aligning with societal needs and supporting USU's vision of becoming a World Class University.
