On Thursday, August 10, 2017, the Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Sumatera Utara, underwent an external ISO 9001:2008 audit conducted by The British Standards Institution (BSI). This audit aimed to evaluate the implementation of education, research, community service, and external collaboration systems in both the Undergraduate Pharmacy Program and the Pharmacist Professional Education Program. The audit sought to gradually improve the existing systems within the faculty and to support the ISO 9001:2008 certification previously obtained by all faculties at Universitas Sumatera Utara.
The audit was conducted in two different locations: the Undergraduate Pharmacy Program (PSSF) audit was held in the second-floor meeting room of the Faculty of Pharmacy, while the Pharmacist Professional Education Program (PSPA) audit was held in the Pharmacy Education seminar room. Each audit session was attended by one BSI auditor, namely Boedi Prasetyo Minarto (PSSF) and Agus Komara (PSPA), along with the Dean, Vice Deans, and faculty members of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Sumatera Utara.
During the closing event of the Surveillance Itinerary, the audit team presented the results to the faculty members. The audit concluded that the Undergraduate Pharmacy Program (PSSF) and the Pharmacist Professional Education Program (PSPA) could continue using the ISO 9001:2016 certification for another year.
