USU PHARMACY PUBLIC RELATIONS – Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Sumatera Utara (FF–USU) attended the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to the Faculty of Pharmacy, Mahidol University (MUPY) Thailand, on Tuesday, 05 March 2024, 14.00 WIB – 17.00 WIB.

Prof. Dr. Sitaporn Youngkong, Director of the Social, Economic and Administrative Pharmacy Program, gave a warm welcome to the Indonesian delegation led by Prof. Dr. Daryono Hadi Tjahjono, President of the Asian Association of Schools of Pharmacy (AASP) Yandi Syukri, President of the Indonesian Pharmaceutical Higher Education Association ( AIPHE) and the Deans or Management of 42 Indonesian universities that are members of AIPHE.

USU's Faculty of Pharmacy was one of the universities that attended and was welcomed directly by Assoc. Prof. Surakit Nathisuwan, as Dean, Assoc. Prof Dr Usa Chaikledkaew, as Deputy Dean for International and Public Relations, Assoc. Prof Dr Luerat Anuratpanich, as Deputy Dean for Student Affairs, Assist. Prof. Dr. Pattamapan Lomarat, as Deputy Dean for Quality Planning and Development, as well as other assistants.

Apart from the USU Faculty of Pharmacy, there are several universities in Indonesia that have the opportunity to visit the MUPY Service Center and Research Facilities, including the Center of Biopharmaceutical Science for Healthy Aging (BSHA), the Center of Molecular Targeting and Integrated Drug Development (CMT-IDD), and Dermocosmetic Testing Center MUPY.

This collaboration consists of exchanging teaching staff, researchers and students at all levels, producing collaborative research and academic publications, and organizing international academic seminars and conferences. This Academic Cooperation MoU has a term of 5 years, starting from March 5 2024 to March 4 2029.
