PUBLIC RELATIONS OF PHARMACY USU – The Faculty of Pharmacy of Universitas Sumatera Utara held a Soft Skill Training Workshop on “The Need for AI (Artificial Intelligence) in Performance Optimization” for all educational staff within the Faculty of Pharmacy (FF) USU on Thursday, November 28th, in the CBT room on the 3rd floor of FF USU.
The workshop was opened by the Head of Administration at FF USU, Dra. Siti Nurhanum Siregar, representing the absent Vice Dean II. The speaker invited for the event was Ibu Himma Dewiyana, S.T., M.Hum., a lecturer from the Faculty of Cultural Sciences, accompanied by a team of students from various faculties/programs.
The workshop was divided into two sessions. The first session consisted of a presentation by Ibu Himma Dewiyana, S.T., M.Hum., followed by the second session, which involved hands-on practice.
The participants, who are the staff at FF USU, were ready in front of their computers. During the second session, the team assisting Ibu Himma Dewiyana, S.T., M.Hum., explained in detail, step by step, how to apply AI tools. The participants then immediately practiced using the tools on their own computers.
The AI tools practiced during this workshop were numerous, including: Ms. Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT, ChatPDF, Quillbot, Canva, Capcut, Gemini, QR Code Generator, Perplexity, Freepik, Elicit, and Suno.
The time felt very short for mastering all of these tools. It is hoped that the participants will be able to apply some of these AI tools to accelerate and simplify their work tasks.
