The Faculty of Pharmacy USU hosted students from Egypt, France, Malaysia, and the UK under the 2017 Student Mobility Program. The visit aimed to strengthen educational collaboration and introduce Indonesia’s pharmacy education system.
On Monday, July 17, 2017, the Faculty of Pharmacy at Universitas Sumatera Utara welcomed a group of pharmacy students from Egypt, France, Malaysia, and the United Kingdom as part of the 2017 Student Mobility Program “University in Diversity.” The visiting group consisted of 10 students.
The visit aimed to foster good relations and educational collaboration between the Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Sumatera Utara, and universities in Egypt, France, Malaysia, and the UK. This initiative is expected to benefit the students of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Sumatera Utara, by enhancing their knowledge and supporting curriculum achievement in Indonesia, particularly at the Faculty of Pharmacy.
The welcoming ceremony began at 9:30 AM in the Auditorium, 2nd Floor, Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Sumatera Utara. The group was greeted by Dr. Poppy Anjelisa Hasibuan, S.Si., M.Si., Apt., Vice Dean I of the Faculty of Pharmacy, representing the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy. In her remarks, she expressed hope that students from various foreign universities would gain insights into Indonesia’s pharmacy education system and share their knowledge while leaving a positive impression at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Sumatera Utara.
The activities continued with a tour of all laboratories at the Faculty of Pharmacy, guided by students from the Faculty of Pharmacy (members of the Pharmacy Student Association). The tour was planned to include visits around Universitas Sumatera Utara, a hospital, and an industry, sit-in classes, and a cultural tour to Lake Toba to explore the culture and tourism of North Sumatra.
