USU PHARMACY PUBLIC RELATIONS - USU Faculty of Pharmacy lecturers carried out community service activities by providing Entrepreneurship Training in Making Herbal Cosmetic Salt as a Bath Salt Spa at SMA Negeri 1 Perbaungan on Thursday, September 21, 2023. This activity was led by apt. Chemayanti Surbakti, S.Farm., M.Si with members consisting of Apt. Nur Aira Juwita, S.Farm., M.Si., apt. T. Ismanelly Hanum, S.Si., M.Si., and apt. Muhammad Fauzan Lubis, S.Farm., M.Farm. Several students of the USU Undergraduate Program in Pharmacy also participated in this community service activity, including Febrika Bulvia Putri Br. Lubis, Nanda Aprianty, Firstarina Jauzah Haya, Christine Ruth, and Andrew Nicolas.

 

In this activity, students of SMA Negeri 1 Perbaungan were taught about various natural ingredients that can be used in body care products, including their benefits and how to use them. The students would also understand aspects of entrepreneurship, such as budget planning, product pricing, and marketing. In addition, students were encouraged to design and produce their own cosmetic salt products. Through this community service activity, the entire service team hopes that every student will adopt every instruction to form skilled and knowledgeable young entrepreneurs in the future.

 

The Head of SMAN 1 Perbaungan, Riadi, S.Pd., M.A.P., highly appreciated the USU Pharmacy Community Service team for choosing his school as a community service location to teach various theories and practices in producing cosmetic salt. The entire service team expressed their gratitude for the support of the principal, teachers, and students of SMAN 1 Perbaungan, who facilitated this activity and welcomed the arrival of the USU Faculty of Pharmacy Team.
