USU PHARMACY PUBLIC RELATIONS - USU Faculty of Pharmacy lecturers carried out the activity “Pharmacist Profession Branding and Community Education in Making Antiseptic Paper Soap from Mango Leaf and Guava Leaf Extracts” to increase people’s income in Karo Regency. This activity was carried out on Saturday, September 16, 2023, led by Dra. Singgar Ni Rudang, M.Si., apt. with members consisting of apt. Embun Suci Nasution, S.Si., M.Farm. Klin. and Adika Fajar Putra, S.E.I., M.M., lecturers at the USU Faculty of Vocational Education.
This activity occurred at the Office of the Village Head of Rumah Berasatagi, Karo Regency. The USU Pharmacy lecturers team was accompanied by a Pharmacist Professional Study Program student, Murobbi, S.Farm, and several students from the USU Undergraduate Program in Pharmacy, consisting of Ardiansyah Selain, Angel Permata Sari, Esra Adelina Simamora, and Khairul Fikri. The community who attended this activity will be introduced to the pharmacist profession, which relates to the daily functions and duties of pharmacists and how to wash hands properly. In addition, the people of Karo Regency also have the opportunity to make paper soap directly, whose methods and ingredients have been prepared by the USU Pharmacy lecturers. Each participant will receive an explanation of each process of making antiseptic paper soap so that it can be utilized by the community to increase regional income.
The community service team of USU Pharmacy Lecturers conducted branding and education on making paper soap from natural ingredients that can be found easily in the environment every day so that it can be managed properly and utilized for its benefits. The entire service team would like to thank the support of the Village Head of Rumah Berastagi and the entire local community for facilitating this activity and welcoming the arrival of the USU Faculty of Pharmacy Team.
