Pharmaceutical Science

I feel grateful to have the opportunity to continue my studies to the master's level at the USU Faculty of Pharmacy after graduating with my bachelor's degree in 2019. The thing that I should be grateful for having graduated from the USU Master Program in Pharmaceutical Sciences is that the program presented in this study program is exciting. When I first entered this program, I had the opportunity to participate in student mobility at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. In addition, the study program often conducts webinars, guest lectures, and even visiting lecturers from foreign universities through the World Class University Program. I also experienced the difference between offline and online lectures. Although there are many complaints during the change from offline to online, positive things can be taken, such as the Sit-In Study program at the USU Faculty of Medicine Biomedical Study Program. This Sit In program lasted for 1 entire semester like studying in a pharmacy study program. At that time, I had the opportunity to attend 2 semesters of lectures at the Biomedical Study Program of the USU Faculty of Medicine.
In addition, lecturers in the USU Master Program in Pharmaceutical Sciences have specifications and competencies narrowed down to their respective fields of expertise. Students are free to choose what specialization they want to explore. The excellence of this study program is also supported by a management system with a friendly and informative admin related to academics, lecture information, pre-colloquium registration, colloquium, results seminar to the thesis defense, all neatly organized with clear requirements needed so as not to confuse students.
I have been keeping up with developments in the USU Master's Program in Pharmaceutical Sciences. I see that there are new changes, where lecturers have also been brought in from several well-known universities, such as Oregon State University, International Islamic University Malaysia, Universiti Sains Malaysia, and many more. I hope that the USU Master Program in Pharmaceutical Sciences will continue to develop and make breakthroughs in the academic world and, of course, maintain its excellent accreditation so that it produces many outstanding graduates.

Alhamdulillah, it is an honor for me to be a part of the big family of the Master Program in Pharmaceutical Sciences at the Universitas Sumatera Utara. We learn from experienced lecturers from within and outside the country, and some of us get help and guidance from lecturers in conducting research and writing Scopus-indexed journals. The program also supports and encourages students to excel in research at the national and international levels.

Alhamdulillah, I am very proud to be part of the USU Faculty of Pharmacy, one of the best and leading state universities in North Sumatra with an A accreditation. Studying at the USU Faculty of Pharmacy is a valuable and fruitful experience. I have gained many things, both in the academic and non-academic fields, which have become assets for me in my career in the workplace. The availability of great lecturers in their respective fields, a huge sense of closeness and care from lecturers, staff, and students, and supporting facilities that students can utilize to support and encourage students to excel in academic and non-academic fields.
