The Independent Accreditation Agency for Higher Education in Health (LAM-PTKes) once again visited Universitas Sumatera Utara. The visit, represented by the accreditation team, was part of the accreditation process for the Pharmacy Professional Program at the Faculty of Pharmacy, USU, on Monday (7/8/2017).

During this visit, the LAM-PTKes accreditation team was represented by Prof. Dr. Gemini Alam, M.Si., Apt. from Universitas Hasanuddin; Drs. Fauzi Kasim, M.Kes., Apt., representing the Indonesian Pharmacist Association (IAI); and Erindyah Retno Wikantyasning, S.Si., M.Si., Ph.D., Apt. from Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta. Their visit aimed to conduct a direct assessment of the seven evaluation standards listed in the accreditation document for the Pharmacy Professional Program.

The Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Prof. Dr. Masfria, M.S., Apt., expressed optimism that the Pharmacy Professional Program would maintain the highest accreditation level achieved in the previous year, particularly as all required standards in the accreditation process had been fully met.

According to the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, USU, in addition to meeting the standards outlined in the accreditation document, the optimism for achieving top accreditation is also supported by the continuous improvement of the Pharmacy Professional Program’s quality each year. These improvements include the educational process, student quality, supporting facilities and infrastructure, as well as human resources.
