FACULTY OF PHARMACY USU PUBLIC RELATIONS – The Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), held a Coordination Meeting between the Vice Deans and Heads of Study Programs as an effort to strengthen synergy in academic governance and align the Faculty's various strategic programs. The meeting served as an important forum to discuss academic issues, study program development, and the improvement of services for the entire academic community.

The coordination meeting was attended by the Vice Deans of the Faculty of Pharmacy USU together with all Heads of Study Programs within the Faculty of Pharmacy USU. The meeting served as a platform for communication and discussion to establish a shared understanding of the Faculty's policy direction while formulating strategic measures to support the achievement of performance targets for each study program.

During the meeting, various strategic agendas were discussed comprehensively, including improving the quality of teaching and learning, developing curricula that are responsive to the needs of the workforce and advances in science, strengthening research and community service, improving academic services, and optimizing effective, efficient, and accountable study program governance.

Through intensive coordination, the Vice Deans and Heads of Study Programs also evaluated the implementation of ongoing programs and identified various development opportunities that can be implemented in the coming period. The discussions were conducted in a constructive manner, emphasizing collaboration, innovation, and collective problem-solving to support the advancement of the Faculty of Pharmacy USU.

This coordination meeting is part of the Faculty of Pharmacy USU's commitment to building a collaborative, adaptive, and quality-oriented work culture focused on continuous improvement. The synergy between the Faculty leadership and the study programs is expected to accelerate the implementation of various academic policies and improve the effectiveness of services for students, lecturers, educational staff, alumni, and collaborative partners.

Through this coordination forum, each study program also had the opportunity to present input, challenges, and needs related to the implementation of academic activities. The outcomes of the discussions will serve as the basis for formulating follow-up actions that are aligned with the vision of the Faculty of Pharmacy USU to become an excellent, innovative, and competitive institution for pharmaceutical education at both the national and international levels.

The implementation of this coordination meeting also reflects the Faculty of Pharmacy USU's commitment to supporting the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Efforts to improve the quality of higher education through stronger coordination and study program development support SDG 4 (Quality Education). Strengthening transparent, effective, participatory, and accountable governance represents the implementation of SDG 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions), while the synergy established between the Faculty leadership and the study programs in achieving shared goals reflects the spirit of SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) as the foundation for strengthening internal institutional collaboration.

The Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Sumatera Utara, hopes that the outcomes of this coordination meeting will serve as a concrete step toward improving the quality of academic services, strengthening Faculty governance, and promoting the development of study programs that are responsive to future challenges. With stronger synergy, the Faculty of Pharmacy USU remains optimistic about providing excellent and sustainable higher education services that benefit the entire academic community and society as a whole.
