USU PHARMACY PR — The Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Sumatera Utara, has once again strengthened its presence in the international academic and research arena through the outstanding achievement of Dr. apt. Henny Sri Wahyuni, S.Farm., M.Si. She has been officially selected as a recipient of the Young Medical Scientist Research Grant, a prestigious research funding scheme organized by the Daewoong Foundation, a scientific philanthropic institution based in the Republic of Korea with a global commitment to supporting research in health and medical sciences. The grant award was announced in 2025 and represents a significant achievement that further reinforces the position of the USU Faculty of Pharmacy within the international research landscape.

Through this grant program, Dr. Henny secured research funding amounting to ₩40,084,449.55 after her research proposal passed a rigorous and highly competitive evaluation process. The selection was conducted by an international panel of evaluators who assessed the novelty of the research concept, the quality and capacity of the researcher, the relevance of the research topic in addressing global public health challenges, and the overall scientific and systematic methodology. This funding serves as evidence that research developed at the USU Faculty of Pharmacy is capable of competing at the global level and holds strategic value for scientific advancement.

The research supported by this grant will be conducted within the Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Sumatera Utara, with the support of adequate academic facilities, competent laboratory personnel, and continuously improved research infrastructure provided by the faculty.
