PUBLIC RELATION OF PHARMACY USU The Faculty of Pharmacy at USU visited Pt. Kalbe on Tuesday (15/8). This visit was represented by the Deputy Dean II of Pharmacy USU, Hari Ronaldo Tanjung, S.Si., M.Sc., Apt.; the Deputy Dean III of Pharmacy USU, Marianne, S.Si., M.Si., Apt.; and the Secretary of the Pharmacist Professional Study Programme USU, Henny Sri Wahyuni, S. Farm, M.Si., Apt. At this meeting, the delegation of Pharmacy USU was welcomed by the HRD PT. Kalbio, and the General Manager of PT. Kalbio Mrs. Butet Benny Manurung,
Kalbio is a pharmaceutical industry that produces biological products such as insulin and erythropoietin. This visit aims to explore the collaboration between PT Kalbio and Faculty of Pharmacy at USU. At this meeting, there are several discussions that can be carried out for further collaboration, such as inviting the practitioners at PT Abbot to be the speakers in an invitation lecture, an examiner for the Professional Pharmacists Test, and the respondents to the International Survey from Quacquarelli Symonds (QS). At this meeting, the delegation of Pharmacy US also brought several students of pharmacy professional study to carry out Pharmacist Professional Work Practise (PKPA) in the pharmaceutical industry. Moreover, the students of the pharmacy profession could find out directly how pharmacists practise at pharmaceutical industry.
Both parties agreed that this collaboration would be established in other fields and that the potential of each institution could be utilised.
