USU PHARMACY PUBLIC RELATIONS - The Faculty of Pharmacy at Universitas Sumatera Utara held a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) with Prof. Bonglee Kim, Ph.D., from Kyung Hee University, Seoul, on Friday (23/8), from 09:00 to 11:00 AM in the Meeting Room on the 2nd floor of the USU Faculty of Pharmacy.

The event was opened by Vice Dean III, Marianne, S.Si., M.Si., Apt., and moderated by Dr. Rony Abdi Syahputra, M.Farm. It was attended by several lecturers from the USU Faculty of Pharmacy and some students from the Undergraduate Program in Pharmacy.

Prof. Bonglee Kim, M.D. (KMD), Ph.D., is a professor at the College of Korean Medicine, Kyung Hee University, Seoul, South Korea, serving as the Head of the Department of Pathology. He is also the Chair of the Department of Cancer Preventive Material Development, Group Leader of the Korean Medicine-Based Drug Repositioning Cancer Research Center, and Board Member of the Seoul Korean Medicine Association Education. Additionally, he is the CEO of Dr. B Lab, Inc.

The Focus Group Discussion (FGD) covered topics such as future collaboration, original research discussions, review article discussions, and Ph.D. opportunities in Seoul.

In addition to the discussion, the event included the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the USU Faculty of Pharmacy and Dr. B Lab, Inc., Seoul, South Korea.

This agreement aims to develop academic and business collaboration and to promote friendly relations between the two institutions. It seeks to advance and expand collaboration in various activities such as the exchange of lecturers and administrative staff, exchange of academic information, publications, research, and educational materials, collaboration in research and dissemination of its results, and joint research activities.

The agreement will be in effect for the next 5 years, with the hope that it can be extended or expanded with additional forms of cooperation in the future.
