PHARMACY USU PUBLIC RELATIONS – The Faculty of Pharmacy at Universitas Sumatera Utara held a Leadership Handover Ceremony from the 2021–2026 administration to the 2026–2031 administration on Thursday, May 7, 2026, starting at 1:00 p.m. until completion at the Meeting Room of the Faculty of Pharmacy USU. The activity became part of the leadership transition in continuing dedication and commitment toward a Faculty of Pharmacy USU that is excellent, innovative, and beneficial to society.
Under the new leadership for the 2026–2031 period, the position of Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy USU is held by Prof. Khairunnisa. In leading the faculty, she is accompanied by Dr. apt. Dadang Irfan Husori as Vice Dean I, Dr. Aminah Dalimunthe as Vice Dean II, and Dr. apt. Henny Sri Wahyuni as Vice Dean III.
In their remarks, the new leaders of the Faculty of Pharmacy USU expressed their commitment to continuing the various strategic programs established during the previous administration while also introducing new innovations to further improve the quality of the faculty. The development of human resources, enhancement of graduate quality, strengthening of research culture, and expansion of national and international collaboration networks have become the main priorities of the 2026–2031 leadership period.
The handover ceremony took place solemnly and was attended by faculty leaders, lecturers, and educational staff within the Faculty of Pharmacy USU. The event became an important moment in maintaining the continuity of faculty governance while strengthening synergy among the leadership in supporting the development of education, research, community service, and international cooperation within the Faculty of Pharmacy USU.
In addition to symbolizing the leadership transition, the event also served as a form of appreciation for the dedication and contributions of the previous administration in advancing the Faculty of Pharmacy USU. It is hoped that through a well-executed leadership transition, the Faculty of Pharmacy USU will continue to develop into an outstanding and competitive institution of pharmaceutical higher education capable of making meaningful contributions to the healthcare sector and society.
The implementation of this activity also supports the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 4: Quality Education through improving the quality of higher education; Goal 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure through strengthening innovation and academic research; Goal 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions through sustainable and professional institutional governance; and Goal 17: Partnerships for the Goals through strengthening collaboration and synergy among the academic community and institutional partners.
