The Faculty of Pharmacy at USU held the 2nd PILMAPRES to support students’ academic and social development. This event aligns with quality education goals and contributes to the SDGs.

USU PHARMACY PUBLIC RELATIONS – The Faculty of Pharmacy at Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) held the 2nd Outstanding Student Selection (PILMAPRES) on Friday, May 16, 2025, at the 2nd Floor Meeting Room of the Faculty of Pharmacy. This activity serves as a concrete form of the faculty's support for Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4: Quality Education, by encouraging the academic and non-academic development of students.

PILMAPRES is a competition to select students who excel not only academically but are also active in research, organizations, and demonstrate real contributions to society. The event was attended by outstanding students from various study programs within the Faculty of Pharmacy. The selection process involved experienced lecturers who served as judges and evaluators. The selection was conducted on May 16, 2025, at the 2nd Floor Meeting Room of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Sumatera Utara.

The primary goal of PILMAPRES is to provide recognition and motivation for students to continually enhance their capacities, in line with the university's mission to produce competent and globally competitive graduates.

The selection process consisted of several stages, including scientific presentation, assessment of academic and non-academic achievements, and interview sessions. Participants were also asked to demonstrate their contributions to society, as part of the evaluation criteria based on character and leadership.

The Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy at USU stated that this event is not merely a selection process but also a platform to nurture future leaders. “PILMAPRES is proof of our commitment to quality and sustainable education. We aim to develop students who are intellectually, emotionally, and socially intelligent,” she said.

By successfully holding the 2nd PILMAPRES, the Faculty of Pharmacy at USU reaffirms its commitment to producing outstanding future generations who are ready to meet contemporary challenges and contribute to achieving the SDGs in the higher education sector.
