Public Relations Faculty of Pharmacy—Pharmacist Professional Study Program held a workshop with the title "Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN)" on Monday, October 2, 2023. This activity invites speakers who are experienced in their fields, such as, apt. Ridlo Pahlavi, S. Farm, and M. Farm. Klin, is a clinical pharmacist at Dr. Kariadi Hospital Semarang, apt. Rima Elfitra Rambe, S.Farm., M.Farm, is the head of pharmacy installation at Prof. Dr. Chairuddin P. Lubis Hospital at USU, and apt. Yuliana, S.Farm, is a clinical pharmacist at Prof. Dr. Chairuddin P. Lubis Hospital at USU. This activity will be moderated by the chair of the Pharmacist Professional Education Study Program at USU, apt. Dadang Irfan Husori, S.Si., M.Sc.
The goals of this event are to give insight to pharmacist-professional students about preparing TPN in hospitals. Moreover, the speaker from Prof. Dr. Chairuddin P. Lubis Hospital at USU is also giving a workshop to the students regarding calculating TPN for certain patients and how to manage them appropriately and correctly according to standards. Therefore, every participant is expected to follow this agenda seriously and apply this experiences when having practicals at the hospital according to existing standards.
