USU PHARMACY PUBLIC RELATIONS - Lecturers from the Faculty of Pharmacy together with lecturers from the USU Faculty of Economics and Business held community service activities in the Rambung Dalam Village Hall, Binjai, North Sumatra, Thursday (8/8).
Community service for the USU Talent Community Partnership Scheme in 2024 is being implemented as a form of effort to increase cooperation between USU and the community regarding the implementation of the Tridharma of Higher Education which must be carried out by lecturers.
Muhammad Fauzan Lubis S.Farm M.Farm. Apt. as Chief Executive said, this service aims to increase community knowledge and skills and empower natural potential in the form of rambutan and lemon peels which will be made into innovative products with high value and efficacy, in the form of antioxidant herbal tea.
In this service, the lecturers were assisted by three students from the Pharmacist Education Study Program at the USU Faculty of Pharmacy, namely Murobbi, S.Farm., Nur Azizah S.Farm., and Qurrata Aini S.Farm., as well as four USU Bachelor of Pharmacy students, namely Surya Perdana Gultom, Zarina Charunnisa, Feby Aisha A. Harahap, and Muhammad Khairul Fikri, in providing counseling on making antioxidant herbal tea from rambutan and lemon peels as well as direct practice in making this antioxidant herbal tea.
Nasution Holy Dew, S.Si. M.Farm.Klin. Apt. as an implementing member, he added that the service also provided education on branding the pharmacist profession, education related to antioxidants, the use of rambutan and lemon as antioxidant herbal tea, as well as marketing and business plan material delivered by Adika Fajar Putra, S.E.I., M.M, Lecturer at the Faculty of Economics and Business USU.
