The Rector of Universitas Sumatera Utara visited the Faculty of Pharmacy to strengthen collaboration in improving human resources and financial governance toward 2025 targets, while reviewing strategic pharmaceutical research projects.

USU Faculty of Pharmacy PR — The Rector of Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU), Prof. Dr. Muryanto Amin, S.Sos., M.Si., conducted a working visit to the Faculty of Pharmacy on Wednesday, March 12, 2025. The visit aimed to strengthen synergy between university and faculty leadership in efforts to enhance human resource performance and financial governance toward the 2025 achievement targets.

 

 

The visit began with a presentation on academic and research achievements by the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Prof. Khairunnisa, S.Si., M.Pharm., Ph.D., Apt., followed by an open discussion session. During the session, lecturers and educational staff conveyed their aspirations and the challenges they face in improving HR quality and financial management within the faculty.

 

 

In his remarks, the Rector reaffirmed the university's commitment to supporting human resource capacity building through training and skills development, as well as enhancing financial management systems to be more transparent and accountable. He also emphasized the importance of optimizing the budget to support academic activities and flagship research.

 

 

As part of the visit, the Rector reviewed several strategic research projects currently being developed by the faculty, including innovations in clinical pharmacy, natural product development, and pharmaceutical technology. He noted that the research outcomes have great potential to make meaningful contributions to society and the national healthcare industry.

 

 

This visit reflects USU’s commitment to strengthening a measurable, participatory, and sustainable higher education system. It also aligns with efforts to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals.

 

 

Through this visit, it is hoped that the Faculty of Pharmacy at USU will continue to innovate and improve institutional performance to support the university's vision as a leading, competitive center of higher education that actively contributes to sustainable development.
