PKKMB of the Pharmacist Professional Education Study Program, USU Faculty of Pharmacy The Pharmacist Professional Education Study Program (PSPA) of the USU Faculty of Pharmacy held PKKMB for the odd semester of the 2024/2025 academic year for 119 new students of the XXXVIII batch on August 19, 2024. This activity focused on lecture briefings and PKPA pharmacists, as well as case study briefings delivered by the Head and Secretary of the Study Program. 26 August 2024

Top Scientist Seminar with Prof. Bonglee Kim, M.D. (KMD), Ph.D., College of Korean Medicine, Kyung Hee University The Faculty of Pharmacy of the Universitas Sumatera Utara held a top scientist seminar themed “Korean Traditional Medicine and its Application” on August 22, 2024, with speaker Prof. Bonglee Kim from Kyung Hee University, South Korea. The seminar was attended by around 150 participants, discussing the importance of Korean medicine that emphasizes individual pathophysiology, as well as the great prospects for the development of traditional medicine in the future. 23 August 2024

Initiation of Pharmacoeconomic Research Collaboration between the Indonesian Ministry of Health and the USU Faculty of Pharmacy The Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Sumatera Utara received a visit from the Ministry of Health, Directorate General of Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices on August 20, 2024 to discuss the evaluation of pharmacoeconomic implementation of drugs in the National Formulary (Fornas). This visit also aims to expand networking with academics and explore the possibility of collaboration in pharmacoeconomic studies. 21 August 2024

USU Faculty of Pharmacy's PKKMB in 2024 PKKMB of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Universitas Sumatera Utara 2024 took place over three days with various activities, including academic and non-academic briefings, laboratory tours, and creative competitions at the Faculty of Pharmacy. New students participated in these activities with enthusiasm, displaying their talents and spirit in the Pharmacy Got Talent event and the Cation and Anion selection competition. 19 August 2024

News Collaboration

Visit of Lecturers from the Faculty of Pharmacy of Universitas Sumatera Utara to the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chulalongkorn University USU Faculty of Pharmacy lecturer, Dr. Rony Abdi Syahputra, visited the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chulalongkorn University, to discuss outbound student programs and other tri-dharma applications. The visit on Tuesday (13/8) was also attended by Dr. Jittima Amie Luckanagul from Chulalongkorn University, strengthening academic cooperation between the two institutions. 16 August 2024

Community Service: Free Treatment Social Service USU Faculty of Pharmacy lecturers held a Free Treatment Social Service at LPKA Class 1 Tanjung Gusta, Medan, in order to welcome the 79th Indonesian Independence Day. The activity on August 11, 2024 involved lecturers and students, with various medical services such as health counseling, general medicine, and skin specialists, as well as dental examinations. The event, which took place from 09.00-15.00 WIB, aimed to provide health benefits to the surrounding community. 13 August 2024
